Job Title: Grocery Clerk I

Reports To: Center Store Department Manager

Your role as a Grocery Clerk involves stocking shelves to make grocery shopping easy and enjoyable for guests. You will keep shelves stocked, products fresh, and the store organized, ensuring guests find what they need quickly. Your attention to detail and friendly service help create a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued. Job Description

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide Helpful Service: Offer excellent guest service through friendly greetings, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Stock & Display: Stock aisles, ensure products are fresh, in-date, rotated properly, and well-stocked.
  • Offer Assistance: Help guests locate products, suggest alternatives, and provide product recommendations.
  • Receiving & Inventory Support: Unload deliveries, organize stock, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Department Manager and team to meet goals.
  • Clean & Organize: Keep the department clean, sanitized, and well-maintained.
  • Problem-Solving: Address guest concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Meet Goals: Ensure shelves are stocked by designated times.
  • Honor Commitments: Maintain regular attendance and communicate absences timely.
  • Support the Team: Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • A helpful attitude and commitment to guest service.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Awareness of safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and equipment safety.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as power jacks, forklifts, and other machinery (training provided).

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand for long periods, work in coolers, bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Visual and sensory abilities to monitor the store and operate equipment.

Work Schedule:

This part-time role may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
