Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston, TX is seeking a Grocery Clerk (ages 16-17) to provide friendly service, stock and clean displays, and assist customers in a fast-paced grocery environment. This position offers opportunities to engage with a diverse community and support store operations in a busy Airline Dr location.

Under direct supervision, duties include stocking shelves, rotating products, and handling routine tasks.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Explain information clearly to customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous customer service and assist shoppers.
• Clean display cases, shelves and rotate self-serve displays.
• Assist with lifting and stocking, including sorting and facing products.
• Work varied hours including nights and weekends.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 60 pounds.
