Job summary

Fiesta Mart is hiring a Grocery Clerk for Store 008 Houston-Wirt Road (ages 16-17). The role focuses on providing friendly service, assisting customers, and maintaining displays. Strong Spanish/English communication and physical capability are essential. Nights and weekends hours may be required.

The position is part of the Fiesta Mart Store Operations team within the Chedraui USA group, offering community-focused retail experience and opportunities to grow in a diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service.
• Assist customers, clean display cases and shelves, and clean, fill and rotate the self-serve displays.
• Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends.
• Must be able to perform heavy lifting, bending and stooping for long periods of time.
