Key Responsibilities:
- Inform customers of food specials and recommend grocery items to meet their needs.
- Check product quality, ensure freshness, and review "sell by" dates.
- Provide customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the manager.
- Stay updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep temperature logs.
- Develop product knowledge to assist and advise customers effectively.
- Create a welcoming environment, making customers feel valued and appreciated.
- Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or accidents.
- Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
- Support a cooperative work environment, manage conflicts appropriately, and act with integrity.
- Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
- Assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
