Responsibilities include:

• Informing customers of food specials and recommending grocery items to meet their needs.
• Checking product quality, ensuring freshness, and reviewing "sell by" dates.
• Providing customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
• Labeling, stocking, and inventory management of department merchandise.
• Reporting discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the manager.
• Staying current with advertisements and promotions.
• Adhering to all food safety regulations and maintaining proper temperatures and logs.
• Gaining knowledge of products to respond to questions and make suggestions.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers and responding to their inquiries.
• Reinforcing safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and reporting them.
• Inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs needed.
• Reporting customer or employee accidents.
• Working cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Managing conflicts professionally and maintaining honesty and integrity.
• Following directions and seeking assistance when needed.
