Key Responsibilities:

1. Inform customers of food specials and recommend grocery items to ensure they get what they want and need.
2. Check product quality for freshness, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate action.
3. Provide customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
4. Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
5. Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the department manager.
6. Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
7. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, maintaining proper temperatures and logs.
8. Gain and maintain product knowledge to assist and make suggestions to customers.
9. Create a welcoming environment for customers, making them feel valued and appreciated.
10. Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
11. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
12. Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
13. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
14. Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
15. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
16. Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
17. Support and assist diverse customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
