Responsibilities include:

• Informing customers of food specials and recommending grocery items to meet their needs.
• Checking product quality, reviewing "sell by" dates, and taking appropriate actions.
• Providing customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
• Labeling, stocking, and inventorying department merchandise.
• Reporting product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Staying current with advertising, seasonal, and special promotions.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining proper temperature logs.
• Gaining product knowledge to respond to customer questions and make suggestions.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers, ensuring they feel valued.
• Reinforcing safety programs and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Practicing preventive maintenance and notifying management of equipment issues.
• Managing conflict in a professional manner and acting with honesty and integrity.
• Following directions and seeking assistance when needed.
• Supporting and assisting vulnerable populations, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
