Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Grocery Department Manager to lead store operations and drive financial and sales results. You will recruit, train and coach department staff while maintaining top customer service and food safety standards.

You will collaborate with store leadership to schedule, budget and optimize inventory, ensuring a smooth and efficient department that reflects Food Lion's values and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead and direct others.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Grocery Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provides ongoing performance management, training and conducts timely formal performance appraisals for direct reports.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Ensure Grocery Department schedules provide extraordinary customer service at all times.
