Qualifications

• No education or experience requirements; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide prompt service.
• Operate the cash register and process all payment types.
• Handle change, receipts, refunds, and credits.
• Comply with WIC, food stamps, tobacco, liquor, and lottery rules.
• Bag merchandise and support drive‑up and carry‑out.
• Stay informed on item lookup numbers and weekly ads.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; keep shelves clean.
• Maintain clean register area and report cash levels.
• Verify register balances at shift start and end.
• Answer questions and escalate to appropriate staff.
• Maintain store safety and awareness.
• Assist with displays and promotions.
• Support other areas and special projects as needed.
• Adhere to hygiene, dress, and Hy‑Vee policies.
• Report to work on time as scheduled.
