Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions in Boston, MA, is seeking a process development scientist to join the guide-RNA (gRNA) process development team. The successful candidate will synthesize, purify, and characterize gRNAs to develop drug substance manufacturing processes and controls for programs in clinical development.

You will execute solid-phase synthesis and purification, perform routine analytics (HPLC/UV-Vis), prepare buffers, maintain lab notebooks, and uphold safety while supporting

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or biochemistry (or related field) with at least 2 years of relevant laboratory industry experience.
• Experience with oligonucleotide synthesis and purification equipment (experience with gRNA or longmer synthesis and purification development is a plus).
• Experience operating analytical equipment such as AKTA chromatography systems, Agilent U/HPLC, gel electrophoresis, and NanoDrop.
• Experience with Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) is required.
• Ability to follow SOPs for routine analytical support.
• Experience with Benchling and good documentation practices.
• Strong safety focus, attention to detail, and time management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability.
• Curiosity and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Compile and present data to team members and key stakeholders.
• Maintain an updated lab notebook, order materials, maintain lab equipment, and support equipment troubleshooting as needed.
• Uphold lab safety to the highest level of standards.

Job Description

We are seeking a process development scientist to join the guide-RNA (gRNA) process development team. The successful candidate will be contributing to gRNA drug substance process development for programs in clinical development. In this role, the candidate will synthesize, purify, and characterize gRNAs in an effort to develop drug substance manufacturing processes and controls.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in CRISPR gRNA development.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Boston, MA are encouraged to apply.
