Shift: Night Shift (a 10% shift differential will be added to the base hourly rate)

Location: Erlanger, KY

Job Description

The Grinding Operator is responsible for efficiently operating multiple grinding machines, identifying problems during production, positioning workpieces, and inspecting parts daily using various inspection tools.

Job Functions

• Operate and maintain grinder machines, including loading, unloading, inspection, and wheel changes.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor adjustments on equipment.
• Document operations and production data accurately.
• Transport parts and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Review records and reports, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Operate gauges, power tools, and computers as required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set up and switch between jobs efficiently.
• Maintain quality standards and track materials and scrap.
• Operate multiple machines and maintain inspection gauges.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards such as AS9100.

Requirements

• High proficiency in machining processes.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Meet the ITAR definition of US Person(s).
• Ability to read drawings and use measurement tools accurately.
• Follow instructions well and communicate clearly in English.
• Successful pre-employment drug test required.

Preferred Experience

• 1-5 years in conventional machining (grinding, milling, drilling, turning).
• Relevant education or training in machining (2+ years preferred).

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Requires movement throughout the facility, standing, manual dexterity, and lifting up to 40 pounds. Hearing protection and other PPE are required. Accommodations available for disabilities.
