Innomotics is seeking a Grinder Operator for the 2nd shift in Ohio. You will grind shafts and rotors to tight tolerances, interpret drawings, and set up machines with proper wheels, feeds, and speeds.

The role requires reading blueprints, following safety rules, and maintaining precise measurements with micrometers and indicators. The job emphasizes 6S housekeeping, teamwork, and the ability to work independently while ensuring quality and process compliance on a production floor.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and work to close tolerances with attention to speeds and feeds.
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using machinist tools and precision measuring devices.

Responsabilités

• Perform housekeeping and 6S activities per OSHA and company policies.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and manufacturing methods.
• Measure and record dimensions using measuring equipment.
• Follow PPE requirements and safety rules.
• Set up machine, dress wheel, select feed and speed, and adjust taper as needed.
• Monitor coolant and maintain tooling and machines.
• Operate hand tools and measuring devices such as micrometer and indicator.
• Work independently with minimal supervisor direction.
• Assist with material handling and other assigned tasks.
• Notify supervisor of quality, process or safety issues.

Position Overview

Grinding of shafts and complete rotors to .0001 tolerance.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and 6S activities adhering to all OSHA andInnomoticssafety and work practice policies.
• Interpret drawings,specificationsand Manufacturing Methods.
• Measure and record dimensions using measuring equipment related to processes.
• Followappropriate PersonalProtective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Make all setups,wheelschanges, dressing adjustments, includingselectionofwheelof proper bond, grit, face width, diameter, etc.
• Set up machine, dress wheel, selectfeedand speed and make all adjustments including taper.
• Monitor and care for coolant, etc.
• Machinists hand tools, measuring devices such asmicrometer,indicator, etc.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal direction from supervisor.
• Perform material handling, and other assigned tasks (hand truck, crane).
• Adhere to all safe work practices and plant rules of conduct.
• Adhere to all outlinedsectionand operational processes and procedures.
• Notify supervisor of quality, process and/or safety issues and concerns.
• Ability to perform job duties of Rotor Maker A classification.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Able to convert to Standard/Metric systems
• Experience with Machinists hand tools, measuring devices such asmicrometer,indicator, etc.
• Demonstrate the ability to read blueprints, capable of working to close tolerances, and must have knowledge of speeds and feeds.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Must meet all physical job requirements.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• 1–3 years of experience running a lathe or grinder
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

The pay range for this position is $33.76. The shift differential for working second shift is $1.00. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
