Job summary

Atkore in Pendleton, OR is seeking a Grinder for day and night shifts to support pipe production. You will package finished pipe, perform grinding, and ensure quality checks throughout the process, reporting to the Shipping Manager.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), strong math and detail orientation, safety mindset, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Overtime and shift differentials may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma strongly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required.
• Good understanding of basic math for counting and calculations.
• High attention to detail, time management, and organization.
• Shows initiative and adaptability to changing work demands.
• Able to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, up to 70 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Grind pipe and ensure quality checks are performed.
• Package finished pipe in crates and maintain organized scrap piles.
• Operate forklifts to move equipment and materials.
• Support extrusion-related tasks and quality control duties.
• Monitor reclaim systems and communicate with supervisors as needed.
