Job summary

Atkore in Pendleton, OR is seeking a Grinder for day and night shifts to support pipe production. You will package finished pipe, perform grinding, and ensure quality checks throughout the process, reporting to the Shipping Manager.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), strong math and detail orientation, safety mindset, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Overtime and shift differentials may apply.

Qualifications

Sun-Mon-Tues Every other Wednesday 6pm to 6am or 6am to 6pm

Thurs-Fri-Sat Every other Wednesday 6pm to 6am or 6am to 6pm

Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for a Grinders to be based out of Pendleton location Reporting to the Shipping Manager, the Grinder’s primary focus will be to package finished pipe in proper crate quantities. Make sure Quality checks are being done on a regular basis and making sure customers get a quality product.

What you’ll do:

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Grinding
  
  
  
  • Grind pipe in the scrap yard for use in the production process system
  
  
  • Keep scrap pile organized. Work with Shift Supervisor to identify and regrind sunburned product
  
  
  • Inform maintenance of grinder equipment status
  
  
  • Responsible for monitoring complete reclaim system
  
  
  • Safely operate forklifts to move equipment and materials to and from the production areas, die shop, scales and warehouse

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $18.00/hr. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
