Atkore is seeking a Grinder for the night shift in Dallas, TX. The role involves regrinding materials, maintaining the grinding schedule, and operating material handling tools to support production. You will work under the supervision of the Operations Manager in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires forklift experience, basic math skills, and a strong focus on safety and accuracy. Lifting up to 50 pounds and adapting to shift demands are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift Experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
• Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.
• Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

We are currently looking for a Grinder to be based out of Dallas, TX on the night shift. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this person will be responsible for regrinding materials for use.

What you’ll do:

• Extrusion
• Weigh Inventory
• Follow grinding schedule
• Load material into the grind and grind into pellet form to be used for reprocessing
• Stage material for upcoming jobs
• Other
• Perform maintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas.
• Know and follow plant safety rules and wear proper PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, and gloves)
• Able to prioritize tasks and anticipate needs in order to effectively manage time in order to accomplish all tasks
• Proficient with all material handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks, banders, and nail guns.
• Other tasks as assigned
