Job summary

Dura-Line, part of Orbia Connectivity Solutions, is hiring a Grinder in Evansville, WY. The role involves maintaining the grinding area, handling waste, and coordinating with extrusion to move materials to grinding. Expect 12‑hour shifts, 84 hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• High School preferred.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• 6 months equipment/machine operation in manufacturing.

• Experience with material handling equipment and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean grinding area and dispose waste.
• Empty trash and break down scrap.
• Process scrap cable-in-duct and coordinate with extrusion.
• Move materials to grinding and support cycle counts.
• Report unsafe conditions and participate in safety training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean grinding area and dispose waste.
• Empty trash.
• Complete regrind report tags and identify reprocessed materials.
• Perform cable retrieval.
• Break down empty gaylords.
• Process scrap cable-in-duct.
• Coordinate with extrusion to move materials to grinding.
• Participate in cycle counts.
• Report unsafe conditions/broken equipment.
• Participate in training, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Other production duties.

Requirements:

• High School preferred.
• Basic math/measurement & reading comprehension skills.
• 6 months equipment/machine operation in manufacturing.
• Measuring devices/hand tools.
• Work instructions/basic math.
• Material handling equipment/forklifts.
• Physical requirements: move around obstacles; wear PPE; stand/walk 8-12 hours; lift/move 50 lbs; climb, reach, squat, and bend; temperature/noise exposure.

• Ability to move around obstacles and wear required PPE.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8-12 hours.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb, reach, squat, and bend.
• Ability to work in environments with temperature variation and noise.

Our Offer:
The compensation for this position typically starts at $18.61/Hour, plus a $1500 sign-on bonus.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
