Job summary

Dura-Line, part of Orbia Connectivity Solutions, is hiring a Line Operator for our Lubbock, TX site. The role focuses on operating an extrusion line to ensure defect-free products within tolerances, while maintaining safe, efficient production.

The position supports a startup site with day and night shifts, transitioning to a 24/7 schedule with rotating weeks. Training and safety programs are emphasized, along with competitive benefits and a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma preferred.
  • Basic math/measurement & reading comprehension skills.
  • At least 1 year of equipment or machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use measuring devices and hand tools.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and use basic math.
  • Material handling and forklift experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform checks of equipment, materials, and product; monitor extruders.
  • Adjust the extruder, die, water, and vacuum to maintain product quality.
  • Ensure the pipe print line is applied according to the Quality Manual.
  • Ensure product dimensions, tolerances, and appearance meet quality standards and inform the Supervisor or Lead of any changes.
  • Perform SDR and size changes, setup, and changeover activities.
  • Document product dimensions accurately.
  • Correct output, quality, speed, and tooling changes as needed.
  • Coordinate changes with other extrusion line operators.
  • Report unsafe or broken equipment.
  • Participate in training, safety, and continuous improvement activities.

Dura-Line is hiring for a Line Operator in Lubbock, TX

We are starting up a new site based in Lubbock, TX and are currently recruiting for qualified candidates for both our Day and Night shift.

The Line Operator is responsible for physically operating an extrusion line in a way that ensures all products are produced free from cosmetic and physical defects and are within manufacturing tolerances. The Line Operator is responsible for the quality of the product run and adjusts and documents operating conditions to produce the highest attainable quality of pipe in a safe and efficient manner.

Shift Details:

  • We are currently hiring for both Day & Night shift

  • Phase 1: During our initial startup the site will be operating 24/5, Monday - Friday

  • Phase 2: Before the end of the year, once lines are commissioned, we will transition to a 24/7 schedule that will work either 6:45am-7pm or 6:45pm-7am on a 2-2-3 schedule

  • ROTATING SCHEDULE

    • WEEK 1 - MON/TUE, FRI/SAT

    • WEEK 2 - SUN, WED/THUR

  • Only Work 15 days a month!!!!

  • Every Other Weekend is a 3 DAY WEEKEND !!!!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work in environments with temperature variation and noise.

Our Offer:
The compensation for this position is typically start at $21/Hour.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
