Job description

Position Title: Grinder

Wage: $18.00 - $19.20/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 4:00pm - 12:30am

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Grinder at a company in Lincolnshire, IL. This is a temporary position for 2nd shift. Apply now!

Grinder Responsibilities:

1. Operate machine after machine has been set up and verified by supervisor
2. Verify tolerances by performing inspection of first 5 pieces and then bringing pieces to inspector for final inspection
3. Once pieces pass inspection, continue running job based on blueprint and drawing specifications
4. Bring completed orders to shipping
5. Maintain clean work environment
6. Comply with safety and sanitation regulations

Requirements for Grinder:

1. At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
2. Willingness to learn precision grinding
3. Comfortable working around machinery in a fast-paced environment
4. Basic knowledge of measurement tools including micrometers (digital or dial), roundness gauge, comparator, cylindricity gauge
5. Strong attention to detail
6. Able to follow instructions in English
7. Able to read blueprints
8. Able to meet quality and entry level productivity standards
9. Able to work in a team environment
10. Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance
11. Able to stand for long periods of time
