Centerless Grinder Field Technician and Trainer

Allways Precision has an open position for a centerless grinder process development and customer training specialist. Responsibilities include verifying part prints and tooling, setting up machines, and grinding for customer machine qualifications. The role involves providing startup assistance at customer facilities and advising on customer-specific applications. Clients include aerospace fastener manufacturers, bar grinding service providers, and contract manufacturers.

Technical Skill Requirements:

• Experience with Cincinnati Centerless Grinder setup and operation.
• Ability to instruct and teach process and machine control.
• Knowledge of general machine shop equipment and process theory for thru-feed and in-feed grinding.
• Mechanical aptitude for industrial machinery.
• Experience with grinding automation, gantry loaders, and bowl feeders.
• Understanding of servo motors, CNC controls, and HMIs.

Customer Engagement Skills:

• Willingness to travel 50-75% per month across North America.
• Strong relationship-building skills to introduce Allways Precision’s support and services.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, cycle times, Cpk fundamentals, and engineering print tolerances.
• Confidence in face-to-face customer interactions and follow-up communication.
• Ability to plan and execute personal schedules effectively.
• Excellent communication with the support team.
