• Moves controls to adjust, start, or stop equipment during grinding.
• Trims scrapes, or deburrs objects or parts, using hand tools or equipment.
• Applies solutions and chemicals to equipment, objects, or parts, using hand tools.
• Records grinding project status work on a Production dispatch list.
• Follows all safety procedures and wears safety equipment or apparel as required.
• Assists daily with all housekeeping duties in the work area.

Under the direct supervision of the department Team Leader, uses a hand grinder to smooth surfaces of metal to remove slag and any other properties on welded products.

• Grinds, sands, cleans, or polishes objects or parts, using hand tools or equipment.


• Moves controls to adjust, start, or stop equipment during grinding.


• Trims scrapes, or deburrs objects or parts, using hand tools or equipment.


• Applies solutions and chemicals to equipment, objects, or parts, using hand tools.


• Records grinding project status work on a Production dispatch list.


• Follows all safety procedures and wears safety equipment or apparel as required.


• Assists daily with all housekeeping duties in the work area.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 1. Intermediate knowledge of mechanical machines and tools, uses, benefits, repair.


• 2. 1-3 years previous/related experience.


• 3. High School Diploma/GED


• 4. Ability to read, write and communicate English.
