Avvio Millbury is hiring a Grill/Sauté Cook for its new location opening this fall. You’ll work a scratch kitchen, grilling and sautéing entrées to order and following precise recipes. You’ll join a supportive team within Newport Restaurant Group, with opportunities to grow as the restaurant launches.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years on grill/sauté or scratch-kitchen, basic knife skills, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong work ethic and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of grill/sauté cook or scratch-kitchen experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic knife skills, cooking methods, and kitchen safety/sanitation standards.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Cook proteins and entrées to order on the grill and sauté stations; this is a scratch kitchen, so prep, seasoning, and cooking is key.
• Follow recipes with precision.
• Manage multiple tickets and cook times at once without missing a beat.
• Keep your station clean, stocked, and moving.
• Work alongside a team that supports each other during rushes.
