Job summary

Huddle House is seeking a Restaurant Cook to oversee the grill and food prep in the restaurant. The incumbent will be responsible for proper food preparation, handling, and storage, and will provide excellent customer service while being a strong teammate to our franchise partner.

The role requires punctuality, attention to safety, and menu knowledge. Training is provided, and the position offers competitive pay and benefits in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with all restaurant staff.
• Some previous restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time in a clean and complete proper uniform.
• Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting.
• Prepare food in a timely manner once the order is placed.
• Complete the position checklist while stocking and preparing the unit for the next shift.
• Keep the work area clean using all tools provided by the manager.
• Address safety concerns and customer service complaints with the manager.
• Know the menu and daily features and ensure correct cooking and presentation.
• Understand duties of coworkers to maximize teamwork.
• Follow the restaurant's service steps with each guest to maximize shift sales.
• Follow all rules for safety, food handling, cash security and policies.
• Perform prepping and cleaning duties as assigned.
• Help control food costs by managing waste and portions.
