Job summary

Sonny’s BBQ in Tallahassee is hiring BOH team members to support the kitchen operations during busy shifts. You’ll cook, memorize Sonny’s BOH terminology, read orders and follow protocols, operate the grill and fry stations, and maintain a clean, sanitary workstation.

We seek dependable, team-oriented individuals who can multitask, stay calm under pressure, and lift up to 90 pounds. Benefits include competitive pay, eat-free when working, PTO after one year, and medical/dental/vision coverage.

Qualifications

• Related experience and/or training in the restaurant industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Ability to push/pull/lift/carry up to 90 pounds.
• Able to work in wet/humid conditions with cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Cook food and follow Sonny’s BOH protocols.
• Memorize and apply Sonny’s BOH terminology, plating, and procedures.
• Navigate equipment and operate grill and fry stations.
• Read orders and process them according to the KDS.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary workstation and follow safety guidelines.
• Perform cleaning duties during and after shifts.
