• We are hiring immediately for a full-time GRILL COOK position.
• Location: Ballad Health - JCMC - 400 North State of Franklin Road, Johnson City, TN 37604. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time schedule; varied days and shifts; includes rotating weekends and holidays; more details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous food service and cooking experience are preferred but not required.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food and serves customers at the grill station according to standards to ensure high-quality food service.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Takes orders and prepares items requiring short preparation; completes orders from steam tables and serves customers.
• Serves customers efficiently and friendly, ensuring food is at the correct temperature, attractive, and tasty.
• Uses established ticket-collection procedures; responsible for records during service.
• Uses approved recipes and standards for quality, temperature, and portion control.
• Transfers food between workstations safely.
• Stores foods properly following safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Resolves customer concerns and reports to supervisor.
• Attends safety and in-service meetings.
• Maintains positive relationships with coworkers and customers.
• Performs duties safely and maintains a clean environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
