• Location: Merck Durham Plant - 5325 Old Oxford Road, Durham, NC 27712. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time; Monday through Friday, 5:30 am to 2:00 pm. More details upon interview.
• Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour.
• Requirement: Prior cooking experience is required.

About the Role

We are hiring immediately for full time GRILL COOK positions. The role involves preparing food at the grill station, serving customers efficiently and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

1. Take customer orders and prepare items requiring short preparation time.
2. Serve food attractively and at correct temperatures, tasting all prepared items.
3. Use established procedures for ticket collection and record keeping.
4. Follow recipes and standards to ensure quality and portion control.
5. Transport food items safely between workstations, adhering to safety standards.
6. Store foods properly, following safety and rotation procedures.
7. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
8. Resolve customer concerns and report issues to supervisors.
9. Attend safety and in-service meetings.
10. Work collaboratively with team members and maintain a safe environment.
