• We are hiring immediately for a full-time GRILL COOK position.
• Location: Danbury Hospital - 24 Hospital Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time; Monday through Friday, including rotating weekends. 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior culinary experience and knowledge of grilling techniques are required.
• Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepare food and serve customers at the grill station, ensuring high-quality food service in compliance with standards and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Takes customer orders and prepares items requiring short preparation times. Completes orders from steam tables and serves at multiple stations.
2. Serves customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and visually appealing. Tastes all prepared food.
3. Follows established ticket-collection procedures and maintains records during service.
4. Uses approved recipes and standards to ensure quality, proper temperatures, and portion control.
5. Transfers food to and from workstations safely.
6. Stores foods properly, following safety and rotation procedures.
7. Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
8. Addresses customer concerns and reports issues to supervisors.
9. Attends in-service and safety meetings.
10. Maintains positive working relationships with staff and customers.
11. Performs duties safely and maintains a clean environment.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
