Location:

• We are hiring immediately for a full-time GRILL COOK position.
• Address: Mass Maritime Academy - 101 Academy Drive, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532. Note: online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food and serves customers at the grill station in accordance with applicable standards and regulations to ensure high-quality food service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Takes orders and prepares items requiring short preparation; completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Serves customers efficiently and friendly, ensuring food quality, temperature, and presentation. Tastes all prepared food items.
• Uses established ticket-collection procedures and maintains records during service.
• Uses approved recipes and standards for quality, serving temperature, and portion control.
• Transfers food safely between workstations, stove, and refrigerator.
• Stores foods properly following safety and rotation procedures.
• Maintains sanitation standards by cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment.
• Resolves customer concerns and reports relevant issues to supervisors.
• Attends safety and in-service meetings.
• Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Performs duties safely and maintains a clean work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
