Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining is hiring a full-time Grill Cook at Avon Old Farms School in Avon, CT. The shift runs Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm. Prior high-volume and batch cooking experience is preferred. Willing to train; internal employee referral bonus available.

Pay ranges from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour. Benefits include free meals and uniforms at select locations, with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients and student nutrition programs.

Qualifications

• Previous high-volume cooking experience preferred.
• Batch cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food and serves customers at the grill station in accordance with standards.
• Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Maintains food safety, temperature, and portion control throughout service.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment; supports safety procedures.
• Resolves customer concerns and reports issues to supervisor.
