Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a Night Cook at Avon Old Farms School in Avon, CT. You will work Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, preparing meals to established standards and ensuring quality service.

Previous cooking experience is preferred and ServSafe certification is a plus. The position offers training and competitive pay, with benefits for full-time staff. This is a full-time foodservice opportunity within Flik Independent School Dining.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals and prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, and ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and arranged nicely.
• Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records from area worked during service periods.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
