Talk of the Town Restaurants in Lakeland, FL is seeking an accomplished grill/pit cook to prepare meals according to customers' preferences, inform wait staff when orders are ready, and keep the grill clean between shifts.

You will monitor inventory to ensure sufficient supplies, follow food safety guidelines, and work weekends/holidays as required. A high school diploma or equivalent and prior grilling experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior cooking experience, preferably grilling.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Thorough knowledge of food safety guidelines.
• Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Grilling meat and vegetables.
• Checking that ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption.
• Preventing cross-contamination.
• Grilling different cuts of meats according to customer preferences, if applicable.
• Ensuring your workstation remains clean and orderly at all times.
• Informing the Manager when equipment is due for maintenance, repair, or replacement.
• Tracking inventory to ensure adequate supplies.
