Job summary

FOX Studio Lot is seeking a Grill Cook in Los Angeles, CA to join our culinary team. You will prepare, cook, and present food for the operation under the Outlet Chef, while keeping stations clean and equipment well maintained.

Applicants should have 3+ years of culinary experience, basic knife skills, and strong knowledge of food safety. A flexible schedule includes early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent culinary program.
• 3+ years of culinary experience.
• Basic knife handling: chopping, slicing, grilling, sautéing.
• Food safety and sanitation knowledge.
• Able to read and follow recipes and kitchen standards.
• Able to lift 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and production related to the assigned outlet and station.
• Prepare, produce, and cook all food products as assigned by the Outlet Chef for the Operation's needs.
• Maintain all equipment in good order through proper use and care.
• Maintain assigned station in a clean and organized state at all times.
• Clean up and wipe down the station at the end of the shift.
• Assist in putting away all delivered merchandise (produce, meat, fish, dry goods, etc.).
• Adhere to all State and Local Health Department rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by chefs/supervisors.
• Overtime and earlier start times as required by business needs.

• Food preparation and production related to the assigned outlet and station
• Prepare, produce, and cook all food products as assigned by the Outlet Chef for the Operation's needs

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Available to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• High school diploma and/or certificate/diploma from an accredited culinary program or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of prior culinary experience
• Basic knife handling, chopping, slicing, grilling, and sautéing
• Food Safety & Sanitation knowledge
• Able to read and follow assigned recipes and kitchen standards, with excellent customer service and guest interaction
• Able to lift 25lbs

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $25.76 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
