Job summary

Picasso Restaurant Group is seeking a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals at the U of M Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor. This role requires experience in a high pace environment and the ability to grill multiple orders simultaneously.

Responsibilities include setting up workstations, preparing ingredients, expediting orders, and maintaining a clean kitchen. Benefits include healthcare after 90 days, and nights, weekends, and all major holidays off.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook.
• Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.).

• Prepare ingredients for cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.).
• Expedite orders to customers, requiring customer interaction.
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Check quality of ingredients.
• Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.

Monday - Friday. All major holidays off. Opportunities for overtime during special events.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH HIGH PACE ENVIRONMENT AND BE ABLE TO GRILL MORE THAN ONE ORDER AT A TIME.

The location is at the U of M Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor.
