Job summary

Taher, Inc. is seeking a dedicated kitchen leader to manage and train a professional team in a fast-paced school lunch service setting. You will ensure exceptional guest service, execute recipes to specification, maintain inventory, and uphold safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of related food service experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to lead, adapt, and meet deadlines. This full-time on-site role offers growth opportunities and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• 2 years' previous related food service experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Extensive working knowledge of food preparation.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt and change in a fast-paced environment.
• Good team work approach to daily tasks.
• Able to follow oral and written directions.
• Be able to lift 30 Lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the team provides exceptional guest service at all times
• Leads, motivates, and trains team members
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth service period
• Execute recipes to the letter and assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served
• Portions food products prior to cooking according to recipe specifications
• Prepares food by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming and cutting meat, poultry, or fish for culinary use
• Follows all food safety and sanitation standards
• Follows and completes production sheets, manages inventory, prepares the order for approval
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Able to meet deadlines in completion of daily workload
• Set up and tear down of workstation
• Polite and professional communication style
• May select recipes per menu cycle, prepare bakery items, and receive inventory
• Understands and utilizes FIFO
• Performs other related duties as requested by the leadership team
