Job summary

LifeShare Network is seeking a Donation Advocate to guide families through grief and family support during the organ donation process. You’ll provide compassionate care, conduct interviews, and support decision-making with empathy.

The role requires 12-hour day shifts (8 AM–8 PM) with rotating weekends/holidays, statewide travel across Oklahoma, and collaboration with hospital staff to deliver a high standard of care.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in grief counseling, hospice care, or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication with empathy.
• Crisis management and emotional support skills.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on-call.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; EMR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate support to families navigating organ, tissue, and eye donation decisions.
• Conduct donor risk assessments and interviews with dignity.
• Respond to emotionally charged situations with poise and empathy.
• Collaborate with the team to create and implement supportive programs to honor gifts.
• Maintain clear, compassionate communication with hospital staff, families, and internal teams.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews and follow-up activities to enhance donor family experience.
