Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Software Test Engineer Intern to join our QA team. You will work with experienced engineers to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of our software products, and gain hands-on exposure to testing methodologies, automated tools, and the SDLC in a GridOS environment.

This internship offers mentorship, opportunities to learn CI/CD and cloud tooling, and exposure to energy software applications, with 100% onsite work in Atlanta or Bellevue, and United States work

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in CS/Software Engineering/IT.
• Basic understanding of software testing principles.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, Java, or JavaScript).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Test Execution: manual and automated test cases.
• Documentation: write and update test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
• Collaboration: participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
• Bug Tracking: document and verify defects using internal tools.
• Environment Setup: assist in setting up test environments and data.
