Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks a Post Bachelors Student intern in the Computational Intelligence & Modeling Group (A-1). The role focuses on developing R&D software for advanced decision support in power systems and microgrid contexts.

You will collaborate across disciplines and work toward deliverables for DOE programs. Required skills include Python and MATLAB, plus experience with collaborative software development and version control.

Qualifications

• Must have earned a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field within the past three years and be not yet enrolled in a graduate program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale in the last degree earned; U.S. citizenship or clearance eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of software applications in Julia and demonstration of tools on real-world applications.
• Engage in research on phase unbalanced power system modeling and resilient network design.
• Collaborate across disciplines within A-1 to deliver deliverables for DOE programs.
