Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a GridOS Project Engineer Co-Op/Intern to advance AI/LLM usage in power-system model validation and diagnostics. The role focuses on analyzing logs, identifying issues, and proposing corrective actions across utility systems, while collaborating with engineering teams and customers for reliable operation.

The position requires a strong power systems or CS background, Python programming, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• B.S or M.S. Electrical Engineering (Power Systems specialization) or Computer Science required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Programming experience in Python and data analytics.
• Excellent English communication skills – both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Analyze extensive power system model validation and diagnostic logs.
• Develop AI/LLM-based approaches to detect, classify, and prioritize modeling issues.
• Investigate network model inconsistencies and determine probable root causes.
• Build intelligent workflows that prescribe corrective actions for model remediation.
• Support and perform analysis, troubleshooting, and support of Distribution Automation functions (FLISR, VVO, etc.).
• Collaborate with engineering teams and customers to ensure reliable operation of advanced distribution capabilities.
