Job summary

Jobtailor is looking for a Grid Ops Engineering intern in Colorado to support the Distribution Control Center and ADMS software. You will help with model tuning, tracking non-communicating devices, and assist with alarm limits while collaborating with engineering staff.

This entry-level role offers exposure to outage coordination, power flow studies, and power system monitoring, with mentoring to build confidence and people skills during the summer internship and school year.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in ABET-accredited program
• Pursuing Engineering degree (Electrical preferred)
• Able to work full-time during summer (up to 40 hrs/week)
• Able to work part-time during school year (up to 20 hrs/week)

Responsibilities

• Support Distribution Control Center and ADMS software as a Grid Ops Engineering intern
• Support model tuning and track non-communicating devices
• Assist with alarm limits and special projects or Grid Operations Engineering focuses
• Work with Engineering staff to support the Distribution Control Center and enable ADMS software
• Perform entry-level engineering analyst tasks supporting tools, programs, and databases for outage coordination, power flow studies, and power system monitoring
• Gain practical operations experience and mentoring to build professional confidence and people skills
