Job summary

Westinghouse Electric - USA is seeking an on-site Grid-Scale BESS O&M Technician to install, commission, inspect and maintain batteries, inverters, transformers, EMS, and balance-of-system equipment, turning engineering intent into reliable field performance.

You’ll read single-line diagrams and OEM manuals, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, document actions in logs and reports, monitor SCADA data, respond to alarms, and support upgrades and warranty tasks across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years experience in electrical, power generation, renewables, or energy storage.
• Strong fundamentals in DC and three-phase AC with control circuits.

Responsibilities

• Own installation, commissioning, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance for BESS assets (batteries, inverters, transformers, EMS, and balance-of-system).
• Interpret diagrams and OEM manuals to solve electrical, mechanical, and controls problems.
• Perform preventive/corrective maintenance and document actions with logs and incident reports.
