Job summary
American Electric Power is seeking an Engineer Associate/Engineer in the New Albany, OH area to provide engineering support for Reliability applications and data integrity across EMS and grid operations. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Two+ years of related engineering experience.
- Master's degree or PhD may be considered for Senior level entry (ABET) or equivalent.
- Fundamentals of Engineering exam encouraged/preferred for licensure as a PE.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for Reliability applications, data integrity, and system solution quality.
- Troubleshoot EMS powerflow iterations and analyze reliability of grid operations.
- Assume modeling responsibilities for an assigned area per capital and O&M plans.
- Participate in 24x7 On-Call rotation to support System Control Center.
