Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking an engineer to provide grid planning support, load projections, and reliability improvements across distribution assets. The role involves modeling with Synergi, assessing overload conditions, and developing project scopes for repairs and upgrades.

Ideal candidates have a degree in engineering, knowledge of AC fundamentals, and strong collaboration skills. Field visits and outage support are required as part of the job responsibilities and growth path.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required (ABET preferred for Engineer levels).
• Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• ABET criteria described for Engineer levels.

Responsibilities

• Support Grid Planning Modeling on facility load projections.
• Identify normal thermal overload conditions via load projections.
• Run load flow modeling with Synergi for distribution reliability.
• Prepare project scopes and estimates for thermal issues.
• Assist with outages, field surveys, and storm restoration activities.
