Job summary

CenterPoint Energy in Texas is seeking a Solutions Architect to drive a grid modernization program, translating utility requirements into scalable IT architectures and ensuring secure integration across OMS, ADMS, GIS, AMI, and ERP.

You will lead end-to-end design, establish reference architectures, and partner with business, operations, and technology leaders to align solutions with enterprise standards and NERC CIP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related
• 8+ years of IT solution architecture experience, with utility/energy sector exposure
• Strong knowledge of OMS, ADMS/DMS, GIS, AMI, MDM, SCADA, ERP and integration patterns

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for IT systems in grid modernization
• Create architecture blueprints, reference architectures and integration patterns
• Collaborate with business, operations and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into designs
• Define integration strategies between ADMS, OMS, GIS, MDM, AMI, ERP and work management systems
• Evaluate solutions, platforms and vendors to meet program objectives
• Ensure designs comply with enterprise security and NERC CIP standards
• Guide delivery from architecture through implementation with program teams
• Identify risks, dependencies and gaps with mitigation plans
• Serve as trusted advisor to stakeholders and delivery teams
• Contribute to IT standards and reusable frameworks
