Job summary

Allied Resources Technical Consultants seeks a results-driven Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of capacity expansion, distribution, and cable program initiatives central to grid modernization efforts. The role oversees multiple capital projects from design through construction across a broad service territory.

You will develop plans, lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and drive on-time delivery while maintaining quality standards and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in electric utility environment (distribution, transmission, or grid infrastructure).
• Understanding of engineering design and construction practices, including overhead and underground systems.
• Proven experience managing large-scale capital projects (not small-scale initiatives).
• Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or other technical discipline preferred).
• Experience managing contractors and working with RFP processes.
• Forecasting and budget management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools and software.
• Minimum 3+ years of related project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
• Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate activities across engineering, construction, and external partners
• Oversee projects from initiation through closeout, including contract development and management
• Monitor project performance, proactively identify risks, and implement corrective actions
• Manage project budgets (up to $5M+) and ensure delivery within financial targets
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior leadership
• Facilitate project meetings and maintain all project documentation, schedules, and reporting
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards
• Support continuous improvement of project management processes and best practices
