Job summary

NextEra Energy Marketing, LLC is seeking a senior lead for grid modeling and congestion analytics. You will own the technical roadmap, build market-simulation engines, and translate ISO tariffs and market rules into actionable modeling decisions.

You will partner with traders and senior stakeholders to define multi-year strategy, quantify congestion risk, and drive data-driven decisions across trading, risk, and settlement systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Applied Math, Physics or related field.
• 7+ years in ISO/RTO market modeling, congestion analytics, or power systems analysis.
• Deep expertise in DC/AC power flow, contingency analysis, FTR/CRR/ARR markets, and settlement mechanics.
• Proficiency with industry tools (PSS/E, PowerWorld, Dayzer, Enelytix/TARA, Enverus Mosaic/Panorama, YES Energy) and programming (Python, SQL).

Responsibilities

• Provide thought leadership and set technical strategy for grid modeling and congestion analytics.
• Explain methods and results to senior executives.
• Develop machine learning, optimization, or modeling solutions.
• Oversee related staff work and learn new techniques.
• Document observations, analyses, and quantitative results clearly.
