Job summary

Georgia Power in Georgia is seeking a Grid Coordinator to oversee contract crews performing overhead/underground construction and storm response. The role includes managing grid projects, reconductoring, UD conversions, and ensuring safety and reliability across a wide territory.

You will collaborate with Engineering, region partners, and external stakeholders, attend pre-construction meetings, monitor budgets and schedules, and adapt to an alternate work schedule including storm duty and travel

Qualifications

• Extensive Distribution engineering and/or construction experience.
• Seven Years Distribution Experience.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel), Distribution Viewer, Fulcrum, ARMS, TCMS and JETS preferred.
• Ability to analyze drawings, blueprints, specifications, proposals, and project documentation.
• Demonstrated Safety Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contract resources to meet safety, budget, productivity, schedules and reliability goals.
• Define circuit strategy, attend pre-construction meetings, quality control and final walkdowns.
• Communicate with Engineering, internal and external customers, Stakeholder Engagement, Forestry, Land Acquisition, Claims.
• Alternate work schedule and storm duty as required.
• Communicate with region leadership to support storm restoration plans and maintain reliability.
