Black & Veatch Corporation seeks an Associate Engineering Technician for the VDDS team in Overland Park, KS. You will develop plan/profile deliverables using Civil 3D/Bentley, support underground transmission projects, and work under supervision to grow technical capabilities.

Prerequisites include basic Civil 3D knowledge and a Diploma/Certificate with a preference for an engineering design degree. Hybrid work arrangements are possible after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate required for the role.
• Associate degree in drafting or engineering design tech preferred.
• Minimum 2 years related work experience in design/engineering tasks.

Responsabilités

• Supports engineering teams under general supervision.
• Performs technical tasks with intermediate engineering knowledge.
• Uses CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling tools in project work.
• Creates, updates, and maintains technical drawings and documents.
• Mentors junior engineering technicians and shares knowledge.
• Keeps current with BV quality standards and procedures.
• Applies BV Quality Program to deliver accurate work.
• Shows attention to detail and supports continuous improvement.
• Expands applications and tools to improve methods and processes.
• Develops project deliverables from various design inputs.
• Performs basic material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.
• Coordinates deliverables with other project groups.
• Understands client priorities and aligns work accordingly.
• Proactively seeks and applies new technologies and processes.
