Job summary

Xcel Energy invites students to join as an intern supporting the Grid Analyst team. You will test and revise critical documentation, improve data accuracy, and assist with data cleanup for the ADMS Network Model while developing automated solutions for grid-data processes.

The role targets students in GIS, computer science, or data engineering with a plan to work full-time during summer and part-time during the school year, with in-person commuting under the hybrid policy.

Qualifications

• Currently a student pursuing a degree in GIS, computer science, or data engineering.
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week) and part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week); hybrid in-person commuting.

Responsibilities

• Test and revise critical documentation to improve accuracy and usability.
• Assist with data cleanup for the ADMS Network Model.
• Help develop automated solutions for Grid Analyst instantiation data processes.
• Support documentation and data workflows to increase efficiency across grid operations.
