Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM seeks a full-time Greeter to support our Security department. This on-site role operates on the evening shift from Thursday through Sunday, 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm, at 4311 E Lohman Ave.

The Greeter is the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, providing information, directions, and a welcoming, safe environment at the hospital entrance. Prior hospitality or customer service experience (0-2 years) is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in hospitality or customer service in a healthcare setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients, visitors, and staff with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Directs individuals to destinations within the hospital, including departments and patient rooms.
• Ensures proper check-in at reception or registration desks.
• Provides information on hospital services, policies, and general inquiries.
• Assists with mobility needs and wheelchair assistance as needed.
• Maintains entrance area safety and security for all visitors and staff.

Job Summary

The Greeter is the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment at the hospital's entrance. Duties of this position will include performing a variety of tasks ranging from coordination of deliveries to the patient floors, assisting patients or family members getting in and out of their vehicles.

• Helps patients with mobility needs, including offering wheelchair assistance and guidance.
• Monitors the entrance area to ensure safety and security for all hospital visitors and staff.
• Enforces hospital policies, such as visitor restrictions and safety regulations, as needed.
• Assists with light administrative tasks like answering phones and delivering messages.
• Acts as a point of contact during emergencies, guiding individuals to evacuation routes or designated areas.
• Promotes a positive, welcoming atmosphere and provide emotional support to patients and visitors in stressful situations.
• Offers information on available hospital resources such as social work services, support groups, or spiritual care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in related hospitality or customer service field in a healthcare setting preferred
