Job summary

Hemingways Tavern in Melbourne, FL is seeking a friendly Greeter/Host to join our team. This part-time role involves greeting guests, managing the waitlist, and escorting guests to tables while providing warm hospitality. Training is provided if you have no prior experience.

You will help ensure a welcoming dining experience, answer basic questions about the menu, and support fellow team members during busy service periods.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Greeter/Host – Job Summary

At Hemingway's Tavern, our Greeters/Hosts are the first smile our Guests see and the last friendly face they remember. If you enjoy meeting new people, staying organized, and creating a welcoming atmosphere, this is the perfect opportunity to join our team.

As a Greeter/Host, you'll play an important role in ensuring every guest has an exceptional dining experience by providing warm hospitality from the moment they arrive until they head home. No experience? No problem! We'll provide the training you need to succeed.

What You'll Do

• Welcome every Guest with a warm, friendly greeting and a genuine smile
• Manage the waitlist and communicate accurate wait times

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8-hour shifts
• Ability to move throughout the restaurant efficiently during busy service periods
• Ability to assist with light lifting and carrying as needed
