Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain and beautify the golf course grounds. You will operate mowers, weed eaters, chippers, chainsaws, blowers, edgers, hedge trimmers, and other equipment to keep greens, tees, and landscaped areas in prime condition.

The role requires physical endurance to lift up to 90 lbs and work in all weather conditions, with a Texas driver’s license. Prior golf course knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old with a valid Texas driver’s license.
• Knowledge of golf course operations or the game of golf preferred, but not required.
• Able to operate small equipment and lift up to 90 lbs in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate mowers and perform light maintenance on all equipment in use.
• Mow, trim, edges, and maintain all areas on the golf course.
• Assist in landscaping, flower beds, and tree trimming; keep grounds neat.
• Maintain and clean golf course grounds and clubhouse surroundings; remove trash.
• Use chipper for disposal of limbs/trees; operate saws, blowers, edgers, hedge trimmers, leaf vacuum, and other equipment.
• Water greens and other designated areas as directed.

Job description

Job Summary:

Maintains grounds on and around the Golf Course by operating, weed eaters, mowers, hand tools (including shovels, axes, etc.), and chain saws. Drives utility vehicle, or other vehicles as required. Waters greens, tees, and other grassed and landscaped areas.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Operates mowers, performs light maintenance on all equipment in use, mows and trims all areas maintained on the golf course, and edges all areas as needed. Assists in maintaining flower beds and horticulture areas, as well as trimming trees. Maintains and cleans all golf course grounds, removes trash and cleans all areas of golf course and club house. Uses chipper for disposal of limbs and trees. Operates chain saws, blowers, edgers, hedge trimmers, leaf vacuum, greens mowers, tee mowers, trap rake, weed eater, fly mower, and any other equipment as needed. Waters greens and waters other areas as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age with a valid Texas driver's license. Knowledge of golf course operations or the game of golf preferred, but not required.

Functional Job Description:

Must be able to operate small equipment, lift up to 90 lbs., and willing to work in all weather conditions, including excessive heat, cold, and precipitation.
